TDA North America Donates $12 Million birr to Help Drought Victims in Tigray.


Washington DC – December 15, 2023 – The Tigray Development Association in North America (TDANA) today announced a $12 million birr donation to help drought victims in Tigray, Ethiopia. The donation will provide food, water, and medical supplies to people who have been affected by the severe drought in many parts of Tigray. The people of Tigray are facing a humanitarian crisis of unimaginable proportions.This donation is just a small step towards helping them through this difficult time.



The drought in Tigray has caused widespread food shortages, water scarcity, and disease. The estimate is that over 5 million people in Tigray need humanitarian assistance.



TDANA is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping the people of Tigray. The organization provides a variety of programs and services, including education, healthcare, and economic development.



The TDANA donation will be used to provide food, water, and medical supplies to the most vulnerable people in Tigray. The interim administration of Tigray with the cooperation of TDA International will work to distribute the supplies to the hardest-hit areas of the region.
