How it all began and changed over the years

Tigray Development Association (TDA) is a member-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in August 1989 in Washington DC. Our primary objective is to contribute towards the improvement of the livelihood of the people of Tigray through human resource development and enhancement of health services.

Tigray Development Association in North America was founded in Washington DC.

Today

Tigray Development Association has over 60 different chapters around the world

May 1991

Tigray Development Association in North America moved its headquarters to Mekelle, Tigray

We currently have over 1.5 million members ranging from students, civil servants, urban and rural communities and business communities. And we're always looking for more help.
