TDA donated 100,000 birr to Tigray Women Association to be distributed to 100 women survivors of gravest gender based sexual violence during the two years’ deadliest war.
During his delivery to Mrs. Abeba H/silassie Manager of Tigrai Women Association, Dr. Tesfahunegne Hailemariam, TDA deputy executive director, extended many thanks to diaspora Tegaru and TDA chapters for their generosity and called upon all diaspora Tegaru and friends to intensify their contributions.
Having deeply appreciated the donors and TDA for their donation, Mrs. Abeba H/silassie, on her part during receipt, said that her organization would soon distribute the money to 100 women who survived the savage sexual assault committed against them during the war. Meanwhile, she also asked diaspora Tegaru and friends to continue their assistance.
