About the Role

As the office manager, the primary responsibility is to ensure smooth functioning and efficiency across all administrative tasks. This role involves overseeing day-to-day office activities, managing administrative staff, and coordinating various office functions.


Duties

  1. Provide comprehensive administrative support to all departments, including handling correspondence, managing schedules, and organizing meetings.

  2. Maintain office facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-equipped working environment. Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and supplies procurement as necessary.

  3. Assist in budget planning and monitor office expenses. Keep track of expenditures, reconcile accounts, and identify cost-saving opportunities where applicable.

  4. Arrange travel itineraries, accommodation, and transportation for employees as required. Handle travel-related logistics efficiently and cost-effectively.

  5. Coordinate office events, meetings, and conferences. Manage logistics, catering, and other arrangements to ensure successful outcomes.

  6. Serve as a point of contact for internal and external communications. Relay messages, field inquiries, and maintain effective communication channels within the organization.

  7. Maintain accurate records and files, both electronic and physical. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.

Requirements

  • Commitment to TDANA’s mission, Speaks fluent English and Tigrigna

  • Proven experience as an office manager or in a similar administrative role.

  • Proficiency in office management software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite).

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.

Tigray Development Association in North America (TDANA), established in1989 at
Washington, DC, is a not-for-profit, membership-based organization with a vision of making Tigray prosperous, mainly through the development of quality education, health, agriculture, and
technology. TDANA, in collaboration with other Tigray Development Association chapters, has
built more than 33% of the schools, 74 clinics, and provided training to more than 7,000 trainees
